Department Facility Contracts
General Summary The Mover and Setup Technician is an essential member of the Odessa College Facility Contracts Department. This position assists with the moving, setup, and breakdown of a variety of college events, as well as the day-to-day needs of the College. 
Specific Position Duties
  • Setting up and arranging various rooms and spaces on campus for meetings, training sessions, banquets, teleconferences, and other events.
  • Picking up and delivering supplies, equipment, and various materials to and from campus locations.
  • Moving office furniture, equipment, and other items within and between departments.
  • Assisting with the preparation and execution of surplus property sales.
  • Operating a pickup truck while towing a trailer.
  • Operating hand trucks and various hand tools.
  • Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching as necessary to set up and maneuver equipment and various materials.
  • Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling a variety of heavy and awkward materials.
  • Reporting to work early or after regular hours, including weekends and scheduled holidays, as needed.
  • Responding to emergency requests or situations requiring immediate assistance.
  • Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid Texas driver’s license.
  • Must meet the requirements to be an authorized driver of Odessa College.

Hiring Range
Work Hours Typical work hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday thru Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Work hours will be adjusted during the summer to reflect the colleges summer schedule.
