Medical Laboratory Sciences (MLS) Lab/Teaching assistants help in maintaining the labs use for student training in the department also they help in training student in the courses they have already finished. They may assist with the preparation of Media and Reagent use in the labs. They may help with the maintenance of the lab equipment use in the labs. They may help the instructor in the training of student by reviewing courses info and help to teach lab skills to the students.

This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available. After a period of time, the pool will expire and applicants will be notified.

Required Qualifications

Applicants will need to be current MLS student who have be accepted to the MLS program. Student usually work 5-20 hours per week and cannot exceed 20 hours.

1 to 2 Semester of MLS Laboratory sections completed.

Experience working with various types of lab equipment and analyzers.

This position is 50/50 eligible, student must be enrolled full-time and have at least a 2.0 GPA in order to qualify.
