The Student Health and Counseling Center is seeking a Medical Receptionist to support the administrative health care services offered through the clinic, including physical, mental, and health promotion services. This position functions within a fast paced office environment requiring compassion, confidentiality, and support of all students served through the SHCC.
Duties:30%Administrative Support: File, copy, scan, health and office related information with attention to detail and accuracy, fax prescriptions and orders, reviewing eligibility.Essential
70%Customer Service: Greet by telephone or in person, students, staff and faculty, who may be requesting health related appointments or services. Learn and use the electronic health record to make patient appointments, message patients, support staff. Cash Handling: Obtain payments in cash, check, credit card, or charge student accounts for services provided through the SHCCEssential
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Preferred Experience & Education:
Ability to listen and respond to the needs of others. Medical billing and office experience preferred.
Required Experience & Education:
Duties require customer service experience.
Medical office setting experience and understanding of computer software programs.
Salary Information:
This is a part-time, temporary staff position complete with a competitive salary. New hires will be placed on the UA Temporary staff salary schedule, Grade 75, based on education and experience.
