CCBC is the college of choice for over 50,000 students and 200 businesses each year — all with unique goals, strengths and requirements. By offering a holistic learning environment that is both accepting and challenging, we meet students where they are and take them where they want to go. We offer the region's most expansive selection of degree, certificate and workplace certification programs at 3 campuses plus 3 convenient CCBC centers along with off-site community locations.

The Mathematics Department at CCBC is seeking adjunct faculty who are capable to teach in-person, days or nights or Saturdays (campus and/or teaching modality may vary), beginning in the CCBC's next semester. Adjunct instructors are needed to teach development mathematics courses, upper-level mathematics courses, and statistics. Ideally, applicants should be proficient in the use of teaching technologies including online course management systems, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, e-textbooks, online mathematics homework platforms, and online graphing and calculation tools. In addition to teaching, adjunct faculty are required to cooperate with college support staff, give extra help to students via regular office hours (one hour per week per course), regularly respond to emails/messages, teach in adherence with college/syllabus guidelines and policies, provide regular ongoing assessment of students' progress, submit progress grades and final course grades by posted deadlines, and alert appropriate CCBC personnel of student or classroom issues. Applicants must be able to uphold and pass along CCBC's values of diversity, inclusion, integrity, scholarship, and excellence

Adjunct Level 1 - $1,085 per credit hour.

Campus Locations: Catonsville, Essex, Dundalk & Owings Mills

Adjunct faculty may teach up to 22 credit hours each year and usually teach no more than 11 credits each semester.

    Minimum Requirements

Minimum of a Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related field, with significant graduate-level coursework in mathematics and/or statistics.
