This role will be involved in developing and improving a wide range of written and digital content to communicate with various groups of potential students and their influencers. The content will be used across many different types of media, including social channels, emails, web and in printed publications. The role offers opportunities for those with an interest in marketing and student recruitment to develop their marketing skills in a dynamic team environment.
The Marketing team is based in Marketing, Recruitment, Admissions and Outreach (MRAO), part of the University's External Relations Directorate. The team produces materials for a wide range of student recruitment and conversion campaigns to maximise both student quality and diversity.
Powerful and engaging communications are essential to convey the many benefits of studying at the University of York and we are currently looking to recruit a Marketing Content Developer to work on a wide range of projects and campaigns around student recruitment marketing. This role offers an exciting opportunity for those with the necessary experience to work on a wide range of projects in a dynamic team environment.
Main purpose of the roleTo contribute to the specialist marketing service supporting operational and strategic activities for prospective students; develop an in-depth understanding of the student journey and decision-making processes; attract talented students from all backgrounds; work as part of a team to develop content to support wider marketing recruitment campaigns running across UK and international markets; and work closely with other teams in the University to understand how your content can work in the best possible way for users - on topics ranging from applying to a course to exploring student life on campus and life in the city.
