    You are a flexible and adaptable procurement professional with demonstrated people management experience and a strategic mindset. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills enable you to effectively manage relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including internal staff members, project stakeholders, and vendors.

    About the Role

    The Manager, Procurement will report to the Associate Director of Procurement and Financial Services, leading the Procurement and Travel teams. This role involves providing leadership, mentoring, and support to your team, while also stepping in to manage key procurement and travel processes as needed. You will oversee a range of procurement activities, from goods and services to complex acquisitions, ensuring alignment with organisational goals. A key responsibility will be building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, you will drive strategic initiatives, including those related to the Adelaide University merger, and collaborate with the University Procurement Hub (UPH) Project to maximise value for UniSA.

    The Finance Unit is the central business unit which provides financial services to the University and is part of the Resources Portfolio led by the Chief Operating Officer. The Finance Unit is committed to implementing effective financial and commercial practices to support the University's needs.   • Significant experience in leading complex procurement processes for goods and services
  • Demonstrated success conducting complex negotiations to achieve procurement outcomes

  • High level written and verbal communication, including presentation skills
