The Opportunity
The McKinnon Institute has a fantastic opportunity available for a Manager, Engagement to play a critical role in building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders across all Australian parliaments. The Manager, Engagement will work closely with the Head of Engagement to contribute to the development and implementation of the external engagement strategy for the Institute, to ensure it can deliver positive brand awareness and mutually beneficial relationships.
The Manager, Engagement will be responsible for building effective relationships on behalf of the Institute, including but not limited to politicians, political parties and other relevant stakeholders as part of a wider engagement strategy. This position will also be responsible for developing and implementing aligned and collaborative engagement strategies, consistent with the overall engagement-specific goals and plans of the Institute; as well as contributing to the Institute's academic goals and plans across programs, research and evaluation.
This position is highly suited to candidates with qualifications in public policy, public administration, politics or a related field, combined with relevant experience in engagement roles. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills with proven experience engaging the Institute's key stakeholder groups, and familiarity with CRM technology for pipeline reporting and management.
