How will you contribute?Precision medicines are foreseen to impact our health system in the next years with novel treatments that promise to address conditions such as cancer, rare diseases, and other serious disorders for which standard treatments fail. However, personalized treatments require additional analyses. In particular there is currently a bottleneck in the methods used for the personalization in the study of proteins that are limiting the access of novel treatments. LIST is engaged in the realm of precision medicines, using innovative methods for analysis to help scale up and promote the application of new therapies. To this purpose, LIST develops novel protein screening and analysis methods based on nanotechnology, new material applications and microfluidics.

We are searching for an expert in chemistry with experience in biosensing with a broad profile covering from organic chemistry to electrochemistry and that can operate in a multidisciplinary environment.
Education
Master and PhD in Chemistry, Molecular Biology or Bio-Engineering .
Experience and skills
· Proven professional experience (6 years after PhD minimum) in R&T
· Organic Synthesis, Biomolecules, Biosensing, Electrochemical methods for surface functionalization
· Physicochemical surface characterisation (SEM, AFM, XPS, TOF-SIMS), Molecular characterisation (mass spectrometry, NMR)
· Microfluidics, electrochemical characterisation, Fluorescence and microscopy
· Publications in high impact scientific journals with a relevant role
· Patents and contribution to patents
· Developed critical thinking and engagement in open-minded scientific discussions
· Skills to coordinate research teams
· Entrepreneurial character and collaborations with the private sector
Language skills
· Excellent skills in English: speaking, reading, and writing scientific text. French and German are considered an asset.
