How will you contribute?

Join our dynamic team with this exciting job opportunity focused on the sustainable advanced manufacturing of structural composite.

You will lead work packages and tasks of an existing projects portfolio focused on the process development and demonstration of sustainable composite applications for aeronautics and space. Project are starting at TRL 2-3 and will have to reach a TRL 5-6 within the 3 years projects duration. Projects are in closed collaboration with Airbus, Thales Alenia Space and Euro- composite.

Your background and expertise of structural composite materials and associated manufacturing processes will enable you to have a central role in the whole on the added value chain bridging with resin synthesis team one side, as well as with modelling team on other side. You will contribute to define and validate the resin properties according to the processing requirement, and induced quality and properties. According to the need, you will contribute to adapt the manufacturing process with the specific resin behaviors.

You will lead the manufacturing activities from LIST made vitrimer with the support of two composite manufacturing engineers and the characterization and testing team, to demonstrate the overall concept from lab scale, prototype scale, up to full scale.

This position provides a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of transformative advancements in structural composite manufacturing technology.

Your activities will include:

· The work package and task lead of existing research projects, including the coordination of the manufacturing characterization and testing of the developed composite materials, the results analysis and synthesis, and the internal and external reporting.

· Lead the development of sustainable vitrimer made unidirectional tape through the new tape manufacturing line and the manufacturing optimisation of vitrimer made sandwich composite.

· Lead the manufacturing activities from lab scale to full scale though the LIST cutting-edge composite manufacturing platform

· Contribute to the understanding of impregnation, curing, shrinkage and performance interrelationship and development of innovative manufacturing process using reactive thermoplastic (Elium©) through C-RTM like process and pultrusion

· Contribution to the project dissemination through scientific papers and communications as well as active participation to industrial fairs
