The Lifeguard Specialist position supports the recruitment, training, certification, and ongoing coverage of aquatics staff.This position provides additional capacity to conduct swim tests, teach lifeguard certification courses, assist with in-service training, and support daily lifeguard coverage and facility operations. The role will strengthen staff preparedness, maintain required safety standards, and help ensure consistent and reliable aquatics operations.
Qualifications:
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be responsible and reliable.
- Must obtain CPR Instructor certification within first 3 months.
- Lifeguard certification required.
- Must obtain Lifeguard Instructor certification within first 3 months.
- Swim Instructor certification preferred.
Work Schedule and Pay:
$15/hour for up to 25 hours per week (paid bi-weekly). University holidays and closures are observed.
