Objective of this post:

The principal objective of the post is to develop, deliver and coordinate new curriculum in health systems/public health. RCSI is seeking a professional who is passionate about teaching, who would like to contribute to working as an academic in a multicultural environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate energy, initiative and excellent organisation and communication skills. The candidate will also support the development and delivery of health and health system related CPDs in the FNM – currently 10 new CPDs are in development. The post holder will worker closely with the Executive Dean for Education in the development and implementation of these new programmes. The post-holder will be based in the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery.

Specific Responsibilities include:

Participating in the administration, design, delivery, assessment and coordination of new educational programmes in the Faculty. We are establishing a number of new CPD programmes in the Faculty and the post holder will provide support across these as follows

• Contributing to the development and introduction of new teaching programmes, teaching modalities and modes of assessment

• Liaising with colleagues across RCSI international campuses and beyond (i.e. other HEIs and the Health Service) in the facilitation, development and advancement of teaching activities

• Contributing to quality assurance/quality improvement and accreditation of new/existing modules

• Performing such other related duties as may be required

• Representing the best interests of the Faculty and wider RCSI at all times

• Undergoing programmes of training and development as required
