The College

An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, innovative mental health nursing educator to join our team of dedicated academics to support the delivery of courses in nursing and healthcare at UG and PG level.

The academic team, together with the support of administrative and technical staff, deliver programmes to student nurses and nursing associates across our London and Reading campuses. Essential to this position will be the ability to develop and maintain excellent relationships with healthcare providers in Berkshire, Central and North-West London and West London.

The Person

The successful candidate will have knowledge and clinical experience in the specialist area of mental health nursing. An excellent appreciation of the NMC (2018) Future Nurse: Standards of Proficiency for Registered Nurses is essential. Candidates should demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills to work collaboratively with students, other academics, clinical practitioners, and with our support and technical staff. You will be expected to assist in the development and delivery of learning materials that are relevant, evidence-based and current, in order to maintain the high quality of learning and teaching associated with the college.

Applicants must be registered with the NMC as a mental health nurse, hold a first degree in a relevant subject and a recognised teaching qualification for Higher Education if applying for Senior Lecturer position.
