  • The Opportunity

    We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer with a specialisation in Spatial Design to join our dynamic team and contribute to the academic and research activities of the Department of Design in the Faculty of Art Design &Architecture. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to lead and coordinate the Spatial Design program, working closely with students and staff, and contributing to vital research projects within the Department of Design. Reporting to the Head of Department, you will work in a supportive environment that encourages collaboration and excellence.

    Spatial Design plays a pivotal role in the activation of design knowledge into spatial practices that impact both national and global wellbeing and competitiveness. You'll use your expertise in real, virtual, lived experience and other aspects of design knowledge to collaborate within our academic and practitioner community, advancing spatial design scholarship and innovative research to address the evolving challenges in the field, and create real- world impact.

    About you

    We are seeking someone who can evidence their strong track record of practice and research in the field of Spatial Design with a doctoral qualification in Spatial Design or a related discipline such as Interior Design, Interior Architecture or Architecture.

    Your passion for engaging in scholarly and/or non traditional research activities, ability to motivate and educate diverse audiences, and dedication to working cooperatively with colleagues will make you a valuable addition to our team.
