The Universities of Bath and Plymouth are collaborating with NHS England (Workforce, Training and Education Directorate) to establish a new School of Pharmacy located at the University of Plymouth.
This innovative approach takes the highly successful Bath MPharm and delivers it on site in new purpose-built facilities from September 2024.
This venture is strongly supported by the wider pharmacy community and will represent a major step forward in supporting the pharmacy workforce in the southwest of England.
We are recruiting a body of staff who will be located primarily in Plymouth but employed by the University of Bath, delivering this new Bath MPharm degree and this phase of recruitment seeks to recruit staff in a number of core areas.

About the role:
We are seeking to recruit multiple Lecturer or Senior Lecturer posts (teaching-focussed) to be core members of the Plymouth-based MPharm teaching team. This advert is for the post in Biological Sciences/Pharmacology.
You will provide high quality teaching, learning and assessment on this new MPharm degree course, support individual learners and contribute to the successful initiation of this new school of pharmacy.
You will be an excellent teacher and have a collegiate approach to working with both academic and professional services colleagues.
You will be joining a small but dynamic group based in Plymouth and will be expected to collaborate with pharmacy colleagues based at the University of Bath.
We will appoint at the appropriate spine point in grade 7, 8 or 9 depending on appointment to the role of Lecturer or Senior Lecturer.
The position may be teaching only or may be a teaching and research position, depending on the skill set of the successful applicant or applicants.
Recognising the unusual nature of the roles is reflected by a willingness to show flexibility in working practices and so applications from suitably qualified candidates seeking a role which offers hybrid working, full or part time working, job sharing and other forms of flexible employment are welcome.
Please note, while the role will be mainly based out of the University of Plymouth, occasional travel to the University of Bath will be required.
It is anticipated that the successful candidate will take up role in August 2024.
