The above part time (0.2FTE) role is available from July 2024 on a permanent basis.

About the role

We are seeking a Programme Co-lead for the MSc Extreme Medicine. The postholder will work with their co-lead to deliver this unique programme which is a partnership between the University of Exeter Medical School and World Extreme Medicine. It is a distance-learning programme, delivered through attendance at residentials in the UK or overseas, with the possibility to specialise in Cold Environments, Hot Environments or Humanitarian Relief. The successful applicant will work with postgraduate module leads to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of the programme in accord with the University and Faculty education strategy and quality management processes. They will be responsible for the design, development and production of teaching and learning material, deliver teaching across a range of modules and contribute to marking assessments.

About you

The post is suited to healthcare professional (e.g. doctor, paramedic, nurse, allied health professional) with professional experience of delivering or leading healthcare in extreme environments (e.g. humanitarian aid, volunteering overseas, expedition medicine, military medicine) and a proven record of excellence in delivering or leading postgraduate education in the higher education sector.
