Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (www. ort.cuhk.edu.hk/) was established in 1982 under the foundation Chairmanship of Professor PC Leung. The first batch of medical students started to have their clinical orthopaedic teaching in 1983. Through the years, the department has grown and developed under the clear Mission and Vision "to provide the highest quality service in patient care, research, education and teaching for medical students and postgraduate training".

The Department is inviting applications for the position of Lecturer. We are seeking highly motivated candidates with a background in Sports Medicine industry. The appointees will (a) be involved in curriculum development of Sports Medicine and Health Science postgraduate programme and certificate courses; (b) teach a range of sports medicine and sports training courses; (c) provide overall academic and administrative support to the Department; (d) provide athletic training services for the University sports teams, including provide medical support for team trainings & competitions, and oversee the day-to-day administration of Sports Clinics; (e) promote the advancement of sports medicine through services to the profession/ industry and the community; and (f) undertake other ad hoc assignments as required. Working beyond office hour or at weekends will be required occasionally.

Applicants should (i) have a Master degree in Sports Medicine, Sports Sciences, Physiotherapy or related health sciences disciplines; (ii) have at least four years of teaching experience or clinical practice; (iii) possess certifications in sports training, strength and conditioning or physiotherapy; and (iv) have a positive attitude, excellent communications skills and decision-making abilities.
