Position Details

Duties Performed in the Usual Course of the Job	The Department of Political Science seeks a qualified instructor to teach American Government and/or Texas Government during the Spring 2027 term. Courses could be taught either online or face-to-face at the main Sam Houston State University campus in Huntsville, TX.
Educational Requirements for the Position	Master’s degree or Ph.D. in political science preferred; will also consider those that meet SACSCOC credentialing requirements of a Master’s degree in a different field plus 18-graduate credits in political science.
Experience Required for the Position	Teaching experience, especially online-teaching experience, is preferred.
