The University of Southampton welcomes applications for two lecturer or associate professor positions in engineering in areas related to energy. About the role

We're seeking individuals with interests in electrochemical energy technologies, that would fit well with our strength in the Electrochemistry and Energy Technology groups, and we seek applicants with interests within either group's remit.

You'll be predominantly based in the home School (0.8 FTE) that is most aligned to your experience, but will also have a partial role (0.2 FTE) in the second School to facilitate building/maintaining an internationally recognised research programme.

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

  • Potential to raise external research funding (research councils, EU, charities and industry).
  • An ability to inspire and support both colleagues and students on our Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering programmes.
