  • About the Role We are seeking a Lecturer in Work Integrated Learning to join our team to coordinate and teach work-integrated learning and employability units of study within the Office of Education, Experience and Employability.

    Working with other areas of the University and Schools, you will contribute to the development and delivery of academic units within WIL, including placements, internships, industry projects, study tours and career development units designed to improve employability and career outcomes for students. You will ensure pedagogical input into the units to incorporate current theories and innovative WIL and career practices and provide a program which prepares students for the professional workplace and careers.

    About You To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Experience in tertiary teaching in areas relevant to Work Integrated Learning and Career Development Learning, including a strong record of teaching, curriculum development and group facilitation.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement high quality student engagement methods in a variety of learning modes that respond to a diverse range of student and client needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster and promote an inclusive, healthy and safe learning environment and provide support and advice to a diverse range of students and clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to participate effectively in continuous improvement, audit processes and the maintenance of high-quality training and assessment materials.
  • Demonstrated skills in MS Office, including Excel, and experience in management and record keeping of information, database systems and Canvas (or similar).
  • Expertise in research and publication in areas related to WIL and Employability is preferred.
  • Qualifications

  • An earned doctoral qualification or substantial progress toward a doctoral qualification.
  • A teaching qualification or progress towards – e.g. Graduate Certificate in Learning & Teaching (or similar) is preferred.
