The Faculty of Social and Applied Sciences delivers programmes and applied research in the areas of food and drink, the built and natural environment, forensic and biomedical sciences, mental health nursing, sociology, counselling, psychology, and sport and exercise sciences. The faculty seeks to appoint a Lecturer in Sports Therapy within the Department of Health, Sport and Wellbeing.

Reporting to the Head of Department, the role requires someone who is a current Graduate Sports Therapist and member of the Society of Sports Therapists. The candidate will play a leading role in developing content and teaching on our new MSc Sports Therapy programme starting in September 2025. Additional responsibilities will include assessing students on the postgraduate programme, supporting students during placements, engagement in programme development and quality monitoring within the department.

The candidate needs to be flexible, and able to teach and supervise all the required practical aspects of our accredited master's and to work well with a small team of colleagues. The role requires excellent practical, organisational, team working and communication skills, a commitment to teaching and programme development, and the ability to work across disciplines and organisations.
