Salary: Grade 8, Teaching & Research (£45,585 - £54,395)

This role will be based on the main campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

Established in 1904, we have a strong tradition of academic excellence, reflected in first-class student education, along with world-leading research that has a real impact around the globe.

We invite applications for the post of Lecturer in Sociology and Social Policy (Disability Studies). We are looking for someone to enhance and extend our teaching portfolio and bring a lively research agenda which will both complement our existing expertise and pursue lines of empirical enquiry. We particularly welcome applicants whose work focuses on the global south and/or global east – addressing issues of indigeneity, decolonisation, and comparative / transnational research – and who have experience of digital programme development and teaching.

With a doctorate in a relevant area of sociology, social policy or a related discipline, you will have relevant research and teaching experience and a proven record of research funding commensurate with career stage.
