As a Lecturer, you will be involved in supporting the delivery across our interprofessional portfolio and there may also be opportunities to contribute to the wider health portfolio as appropriate.

You will have experience of working within the NHS, be a HCPC-registered Physiotherapist and will have well-developed and current knowledge and understanding of critical, practical and theoretical issues relevant to contemporary physiotherapy.

Ideally, you will be at the forefront of new ways of working within the NHS, in either primary or secondary settings, demonstrating care innovation and emerging management pathways.

It would be great if you also have experience in non-traditional physiotherapy roles such as admission prevention, discharge to assess roles, integrated services or rehabilitation in the community.

This is an excellent opportunity to further your career in a higher education setting and would be suitable if you're looking to move from a clinical setting into higher education.

Whilst higher education teaching is not essential, you must have experience of formal teaching, training and supervision of students, and be able to contribute to our undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including our distance learning provision and apprenticeships.

You will have the ability to inspire, enthuse and connect with a range of stakeholders from a wide range of backgrounds.

In terms of benefits, we offer a diverse range of benefits and opportunities to pursue a rewarding and fulfilling career in a supportive environment.

You will be contractually enrolled into the Teachers' Pension Scheme (TPS) – one of the largest and most generous defined benefit pension schemes in the country.

The Department of Allied Health Professions is one of the UK's leading centres of health education and one of the first UK Universities to offer Allied Health Professions Degree Apprenticeship courses.
