    The School of Arts and Creative Technologies is a large, multidisciplinary School; Creative Industries Management is an important subject area within the School, with programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate level, including a specialist MA in Music, Management and Marketing.

    Role

    We seek a Lecturer in Music Management. This role provides teaching and assessment, primarily on the MA Music, Management and Marketing. The role holder may be expected to provide teaching and/or assessment on the MA Management in the Creative and Cultural Industries, the BA Business of the Creative Industries and other UG and PG programmes within the School. The role holder will carry out research and participate in postgraduate research supervision. The role holder will also help to promote our teaching to potential students and participate in citizenship duties within the School.

    Skills, Experience & Qualification needed
  • PhD in a field related to Music Management
  • Specialist knowledge in music management
  • Experience of delivering teaching in HE at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level, ideally with cohorts that include international students
  • Evidence of successful planning and teaching design across a range of modules
  • Proven ability to contribute to high quality research which is publicly evidenced
  • Ability to plan and prioritise own work in order to meet deadlines
  • Positive attitude to colleagues and students
  • Industry-related experience in the area of music management would be an advantage
