    About the role:

    We are seeking a highly motivated Lecturer in Animal to provide a high-quality service to our students on study programmes and apprenticeships, teaching mainly on Animal and Veterinary Nursing programmes. The successful candidate will play a key role in inspiring and educating students, and this position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the academic and personal development of students while working in a vibrant and supportive academic community.

    The role holder will be required to deliver engaging lectures for our Animal and Veterinary Nursing courses, develop and update course materials ensuring alignment with academic standards, and collaborate with colleagues to contribute to curriculum development and enhancement. You will also be required to provide constructive feedback to students, along with mentoring and guiding the students in their academic and professional endeavours.

    It is essential that you hold an appropriate vocational qualification at NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, alongside English and Maths qualifications equivalent to a pass at Level 2. It is also a requirement that you are currently on the Register of Veterinary Nurses or on the Register of Veterinary Surgeons held by the RCVS. You will hold an appropriate Teaching Qualification or be willing to commence studies to gain the relevant level of qualification within 1 year of employment.

    This role is fixed term to 12th March 2025 (in line with a period of secondment)
