    The Opportunity

    For the second year running, Monash University has been ranked number two in the world for Pharmacy and Pharmacology in the 2024 Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings by Subject!

    The Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is currently recruiting for a Lecturer to join the Centre for Medicines Use and Safety (CMUS).

    The position is in alignment with the Centres critical emphasis on working with national and international partners on one of the Australian Government's National Health Priority Areas, being Quality Use of Medicines and Medicine Safety. The position will involve producing meaningful and impactful research, and developing and delivering innovative and high quality education.

    In this role, you will contribute to education programs in pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences, and you will develop an independent research program within CMUS. CMUS has research strengths in pharmacoepidemiology, health economics, aged care and deprescribing, health services research and pharmacometrics.

    As the Lecturer, you will supervise and mentor PhD, honours and postgraduate students, as well as contribute to leadership within the discipline. Your ability to maintain up-to-date knowledge of the current research trends and outcomes that make significant contributions to the advancement of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences by developing sustainable links with other academics, will ensure your success in this role.

    The successful candidate will hold a doctoral qualification in the relevant discipline, or an equivalent accreditation or standing.
