Lecturer / Assistant Lecturer (English Studies)
The School of Continuing and Professional Studies (CUSCS), founded in 1965, is a self-financing extension unit of the University with its mission to provide quality lifelong education to the community of all ages. The School offers a wide variety of full-time and part-time post-secondary, professional and continuing education programmes, general courses and corporate training courses in diversified disciplines. CUSCS now invites applications for the post of Lecturer / Assistant Lecturer to provide support in teaching and programme quality assurance support to related Higher Diploma programmes, Diploma programmes as well as Professional and Continuing Education Programmes.
Applicants should have (i) a good Bachelor's degree in English Language or English Literature; (ii) a Master's degree in a related discipline; (iii) at least 4 years' post-Master teaching experience at tertiary level; (iv) proficiency in spoken and written English; (v) substantial experience in programme curriculum design, review and development; and (vi) good connections with related sectors. Possession of a Postgraduate Diploma in Education is preferred. Applicants with less experience but have at least 2 years' post-Master teaching experience may be considered for appointment at Assistant Lecturer rank.
Appointment will initially be made on a contract basis for up to 2 years (with contract-end gratuity for a 2-year contract), renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
