About You
You're a passionate Learning Designer who loves turning educational theory into practical, engaging learning experiences. You're a strategic thinker and an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, which make it easy for you to connect with people and work effectively in any situation.
Your excellent organisation skills allow you to manage multiple projects simultaneously, while keeping everything organised and on track. You approach challenges with a positive and flexible mindset, and you're committed to staying current with the latest in educational technology, ensuring you bring fresh ideas and skills to every project you tackle.
About the Role
As a Learning Designer, you'll work closely with Lecturers: Academic Development, Designers AV & Multimedia Production, and academic staff to design and develop engaging on-campus and online courses, to enhance the student experience. You'll provide expert advice, training, and support to help effectively integrate educational technologies into courses and programs.
About the Teaching Innovation Unit
The Teaching Innovation Unit (TIU) provides a range of services to academic staff of the University. It plays a major role in facilitating the promotion and implementation of institutional teaching and learning priorities, as well as working with aspects of the institution's postgraduate research agenda. The Unit supports the University's long-standing commitments to quality education, student-centred learning, and staff development which positions it as an innovative, outward-looking institution built on more than a century's experience as a leader in educating professionals and applied research.
