Requires technical knowledge in the field acquired through an apprenticeship, a 2-year degree, or professional certificate. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications Position Summary

This individual performs experiments, attends regular lab group meetings, presents data when necessary. This employee will also be responsible for purchasing lab equipment and supplies when needed, and providing tech support to the undergraduates and graduate students.

  • Lifting of lab supplies and regular office supplies as needed. Should be no more than around 50 pounds.

  • Animal husbandry.
  • Maintain lab animal database and census.

  • PCR genotyping.
  • Experiments including immunofluorescent staining.
  • Fluorescent microscopy and image analysis.
  • Participate in regular laboratory group meetings and present data as necessary.

  • Provide technical support to undergraduate and graduate students in the laboratory.
