We are looking for a Laboratory Assistant to support the work of the Hansen Group at The Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research (CBMR), to start as soon as possible.
Our research
The Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research's vision is to pioneer groundbreaking research towards better cardiometabolic health. We wish to lead collaborative interdisciplinary research from single-cell genomics to whole-body systems, transforming the basic understanding of cardiometabolic health, and accelerating its translation into prevention and treatment strategies. We were established in 2010, and in 2017, we moved into new laboratories, offices, and meeting rooms in the Maersk Tower.

Our group and research
The Hansen Group investigates the human genome and the human global microbiome to characterize the impact of these genomes on health and disease and to identify interactions between the host and the microbiome. The findings can lead to potent translational strategies for prevention and treatment of metabolic disease . You can read m ore about the work of the group here.

Place of employment
The place of employment is the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research, Maersk Tower, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen. We offer creative and stimulating working conditions in a dynamic and international research environment.
Terms of salary and employment
The employment as Laboratory Assistant is a part-time and time limited position for 2 years. The average working hours is 10 hours pr. week. Expected starting date is as soon as possible.
Employment as Laboratory Assistant will be in accordance with the agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and OAO/HK STAT. The position is placed in salary group 1.
