Oxford University Department for Continuing Education (OUDCE) is seeking to appoint a conscientious and highly motivated Kitchen Porter to join our friendly and supportive Catering team.

About the role

You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and tidy operating environment for food processing and service. You will play a key part in ensuring that the overall cleanliness of the kitchen is to a high standard, and will be relied upon to guarantee that the kitchen and associated areas remain safe working areas for all.

Your day-to-day workload will be varied and you will have the opportunity to work across both of our operating sites – Rewley House in central Oxford and Ewert House in Summertown. This is a full-time position, available on a permanent contract. You will work an average of 36.5 hours per week (5 days out of 7), dependent on business requirements and scheduled functions.

About you

You will be a hard working and conscientious individual, who has experience in carrying out cleaning duties and is able to work independently with minimal supervision. You will also be able to work as part of the wider Catering team, assisting other colleagues with ad-hoc tasks as and when required and within the scope of your role.
