Position title: Junior Specialist in Bioelectronic Devices

Salary range: A reasonable estimated range for this position is $51,300 - $54,600.

Percent time: Full-time (100%)

Anticipated start: As soon as possible after the initial review of applications.

Position duration: Initial appointment will be for one year, with the possibility of reappointment. Should the hiring unit propose reappointment; a review to assess performance will be conducted. Reappointment is also contingent upon the availability of funding.

Position description

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) invites applications for a Junior Specialist. Under the direction of Professor Marco Rolandi, the junior specialist will work on bioelectronic devices for tissue regeneration, and will work on device fabrication, assembly, and testing. The junior specialist will be responsible for developing standard operating procedures, as well as coordinating the device manufacturing and testing of the devices with collaborators.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent foreign degree) in biomedical engineering or a related field. You must meet this degree requirement when you submit your application.
  • At least one-year of industry experience in biomedical devices relevant to the advertised position. You must possess this research experience when you submit your application.
