Serves as the Chief Community Engagement Officer for the College and provides supervision for the Grayson College Foundation, Marketing and Communications, Strategic Communications, South Campus, Grant Acquisition, and the Small Business Development Center.

The salary range for this position is $118,273.59 to $197,122.65 .

  • Responsibilities
  • 30% Provides strategic leadership to the Grayson College Foundation, Marketing, Strategic Enrollment, South Campus, SBDC, and Grants; maintains a highly trained and motivated staff to achieve departmental goals and promote student success.
  • 15% Serves as a member of the executive leadership team and advises the President on policy development and other issues pertaining to Community Engagement at the college. Collaborates with Instructional Services, Business Services, Student Services, Human Resources, and Information Technology Services to ensure and promote a total student experience.
  • 15% Recommends, develops, and implements strategic goals, policies, procedures, and practices which foster and promote the College. Oversees the development and implementation of a college-wide marketing and advancement plan including community outreach.
  • 10% Resolves and investigates community relations issues and FOIA requests.
  • 10% Manages compliance for success in divisional area and ensures the accurate and timely reporting of public data for college programs and activities in area.
  • 10% Ensures development and management of the divisional budget.
  • 5% Represents the college by participating in various state and local councils, committees, boards, professional organizations and community groups.
  • 5% Performs other job related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications
  • Experience: Five years to ten years of similar or related experience.
  • Education: A Master's degree or a specialized certification program taking one year or more of coursework beyond a Bachelor's degree.
  • Interpersonal Skills: The ability to motivate or influence others is a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the job and a high level of interpersonal skills is critical to the success of this position. Work frequently involves contacts requiring considerable discussion of problems, material presentations, and resolving issues impacting departments or divisions
  • Other Skills: Excellent leadership, management, and communication skills
  • Physical Requirements: The work is typically sedentary. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying of light items, driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to do the work.
  • Work Environment: Regular exposure to favorable conditions such as those found in a typical office.
