Associate Degree Nursing Professor: Participates in team teaching to
provide instruction in classroom, laboratory and clinical settings in the
Associate Degree Nursing Program.
The salary for this position is based on the Grayson College 2022-2023 Faculty

Responsibilities
45% Provides instruction in classroom, laboratory and clinical settings as
assigned. Maintains academic standards as established by the college and
the Associate Degree Nursing Program.
10% Holds office hours as directed and provides assistance and academic
advising to students outside of class.
10% Coordinates clinical experiences and maintains collegial attitude with
outside entities such as clinical sites.
5% Participates in professional development and stays current in both the
professional field and in current teaching/learning best practices.
5% Assists in budget planning and selection of textbooks and other
teaching aids.
5% Serves on college committees and task forces as requested.
5% Complies with the “faculty responsibilities” as outlined in the Faculty
Handbook and the College's Board Policy and Procedure Manual.
5% Participates in recruitment and registration of nursing students.
5% Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the
nursing curriculum.
5% Performs other duties as assigned by the Associate Degree Nursing
Program Director.

Qualifications
Master of Science in Nursing is required.
Minimum of three years of current professional clinical nursing
experience.
Teaching experience in an Associate Degree Nursing Program is desired.
Requires an unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse in the State of
Texas.
Requires a BLS certification.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to lead both faculty and student to achieve goals.
Team player.
Highly organized and able to handle multiple assignments.
Strong computer skills.
Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job.
Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the
college for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building
relationships, or soliciting cooperation.
