IT Technician in the Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref.: 526743) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a diploma, with at least 2-3 years' of relevant work experience. They should have a good command of written and spoken Chinese and English; knowledge of MS Windows and Office, MacOS and video conference software; and experience in helpdesk, maintenance of computers and AV equipment. They should be able to work under pressure, with a strong sense of responsibility and excellent communication skills. They should also be highly self-motivated and able to work independently and in a team. Experience in Windows/Linux server, NAS, Network administration knowledge would be an advantage.
The appointee will provide audio visual and IT technical services for various academic programmes/events/workshops; assist in setting up teaching venues, troubleshooting and maintenance of computing and AV facilities; provide technical assistance to Faculty members; and perform any other duties as assigned. He/She will be assigned to work at HKU Main Campus, the Faculty's Cyberport campus, Admiralty Town Centre, or the Faculty's facility located in Central, and may be required to work outside normal office hours and on weekends occasionally.
