IT Technician (several posts) in the Department of Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 526841) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess 5 passes in HKCEE or min. level 2 or equivalent in 5 subjects in HKDSEE, or combination of specialized training or education and in-depth experience to perform complex task with at least 2 years' experience in IT support and proven expertise in troubleshooting and problem-solving. Proven knowledge of firewall management, server installation, security, and maintenance. Experience in multimedia production, including photo and video capturing, editing, and production. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe Illustrator, and other graphic design software. Strong web design and web programming skills. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities. The successful candidates will be working at both Queen Mary Hospital and The Hong Kong Children's Hospital.

The appointees will troubleshoot, and provide technical support for the University's IT infrastructure, including servers, firewalls, and security systems. They will oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software systems to ensure the smooth operation of the University's network and server environment; develop and maintain the University's website and web-based applications using the latest programming techniques. Capture, edit, and produce high-quality photos and videos for various University events and programs; create and design promotional materials using Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe Illustrator and other graphic design software; and maintain and support conference room, and video conference setups, ensuring seamless audio-visual experiences for all users.
