IT Officer in the Hong Kong Institute for the Humanities and Social Sciences (Ref.: 525882) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two- year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a good university degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Multimedia or related disciplines, with at least 5 years' relevant work experience. They should have good knowledge of IT and audio-visual technologies; familiar with live streaming and video conference solutions, and software management (experience with Zoom, Microsoft Teams and knowledge with different end-point devices are preferred); and hands-on experience as in-house IT support. Competency in web applications, multimedia/video production and/or system maintenance/development would be an added advantage. They should possess a strong sense of responsibility, good communication, analytical and problem-solving skills, and a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.

The appointee will play a key role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the Institute's daily office operations and key initiatives by providing a range of IT and technical support services, including set up, maintenance and trouble-shooting of PC and network, control of audio-visual systems in venues, photography and video recording/editing within the office premises. The appointee will also collaborate with the University's Information Technology Services and outside vendors on various IT projects, and perform any other duties as assigned. He/She may be required to work outside normal office hours and on weekends. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an interview.
