The Faculty of Social Sciences is seeking an IT Assistant (Ref.: 531007) to
commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end
gratuity and a University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme
totaling up to 10% of the basic salary, with the possibility of renewal.
Qualifications:
Diploma or above in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, or
related disciplines
Preferably at least 2 years of work experience in educational institutes
or IT
Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivation, and a strong sense of
responsibility
Ability to convey technical information to non-technical staff members
Multitasking ability and experience working independently as well as in a
team
Experience in computer support, audio-visual system, customer services and
hands-on experience in multimedia (photo/video shooting and editing) is
an advantage
Key Responsibilities:
Assist senior IT staff to manage computing and audiovisual facilities in
the Lab and classroom
Provide day-to-day technical support for the computer lab, including
configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance
Address technical inquiries from staff and assist with knowledge transfer
Perform regular upgrades, manage data security, conduct testing, and
handle multimedia editing
Provide classroom support for various teaching programmes
Perform other duties as assigned, including ad-hoc IT/event support
Duties outside normal office hours may be required occasionally
