UVM Innovations, the University of Vermont’s technology transfer office, is recruiting an NSF ART Program Coordinator. This position supports the implementation of the Identifying and Nurturing Vermont’s Emerging Strategic Technologies (INVEST) program and plays a key role in UVM’s execution of the NSF ART grant. Reporting to the Director of UVM Innovations, the Coordinator plays a critical role in the assessment, documentation, reporting, grant administration, and stakeholder engagement for the NSF ART program at UVM. Provide administrative, operational, and organizational support to program participants, mentors, PIs, co-PIs, senior personnel, and other stakeholders. Work independently using established policies, procedures, and processes to make decisions and resolve routine program needs, while collaborating with PIs, faculty, researchers, entrepreneurs, and industry partners to coordinate moderately complex program activities, communications, participant engagement, and subgrant processes. Coordinate meetings, workshops, seminars, and other program events; maintain program and grant records; monitor timelines, expenditures, and deliverables; and prepare reports and materials to support program implementation and sponsor requirements. |
| Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience) | Bachelor’s degree in STEM technical background; one to two years’ experience with project management, program development and assessment; ability to develop relationships and networks; effective organizational skills; keen eye for detail and multitasking capability, proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media marketing. |
| Desirable Qualifications | A record of entrepreneurial activity and previous experience in a technology transfer office, patent law, or an intellectual property office desirable. |
| Anticipated Pay Range | $70,000 - $78,000 |
