The International Relations Office (IRO) wish to appoint an International Partnerships Manager who will be pivotal to augmenting our partnership portfolio. The successful candidate will work to create new partnerships, building on existing contacts, international research alliances and working with our academic community to globally promote our high impact research.

You will

  • be key to strengthening and connecting our local, national and international research engagement, working with the university community and our Research and Innovation Services to support ambitions to increase grant capture and volume of highly cited papers.
  • be responsible for the implementation of the University's Internationalisation Strategy in conjunction with senior partners in the organisation; influencing senior academic and professional service leaders to drive internationalisation across the university and ensuring ownership of internationalisation by a broad range of staff.
  • support internationalisation through delivery, logistics and documentation of academic and non-academic partnerships and the related communication of activity.
  • to represent the International Partnerships team externally and deputise for the Director of International Relations at internal or external events, as the need arises.
  • play a senior role in the International Relations Office providing advice, expertise, information, good practice and effective delivery and coordination of the University of Bath's internationalisation activities
  • Working as part of the Partnerships Team the role exercises operational oversight of International Research Partnership activities (including projects, events, internal / external funding, studentships, and partnership management).

    About you

    The ideal candidate should:

  • be motivated, pro-active and resilient, with a background in partnership management
  • have a good knowledge of issues relating to the international performance of Higher Education Institutions
  • understand the geo-political challenges and risks to working with international partners, and
  • have experience collating and analysing qualitative and quantitative forms of information and data.
