Position SummaryInstructional responsibilities include teaching ENT 110 Applied Entomology of Economic Plants (3 credits) for the Institute of Agricultural Technology. ENT 110 contact hours will be 3 hours online lecture, recitation, or discussion per week. (3 hours total contact time per week) for 15 weeks of instruction.
ENT 110 focuses on the study of arthropod pests of horticultural plants and turf grasses. Students gain a deeper understanding of diversity and importance of arthropod fauna of horticultural plants and cool season turf grasses; practical knowledge of the biology and management of the principal pests of ornamentals and turfgrass; sight recognition of important families and selected species; building student's knowledge base for further formal or personal studies of pest groups encountered in their professions.
