The Department of Pediatrics of the LSU Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in New Orleans, LA is seeking 2 full-time American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) board eligible/board certified physicians in Pediatrics for faculty positions at the level of Instructor (non-tenure, clinical track) to serve as Chief Residents.
The incumbent will be responsible for teaching students and residents in a clinical setting, and will assume patient care responsibilities as determined by the Program Director or Department Head. Administrative duties will encompass program support in conjunction with the Program Directors in administration of the Pediatric and combined residency programs. In addition, in cooperation with our hospital and health system partners, the Chief Residents will participate in hospital or health system committee functions, quality and safety initiatives and other tasks as agreed to or assigned by the Program Director or Department Head.
