This full-time post is available from 8 July 2024 on a fixed term basis until the end of March 2025.

We are seeking a Senior Administrator to work in the Institute for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.

Summary of the role

Institutes represent significant investments by the University of Exeter in areas of research strength and play a key role in helping achieve the University's Global 100 objectives. Institutes will strengthen our reputation for world-leading research and education of the highest quality and impact within their fields of inquiry.

This post will play a central role in successful delivery of a flagship Institute. As Senior Administrator working alongside the Institute Director and Manager at a crucial stage in the development of the Institute, you will:

  • Lead the organisation and delivery of community building activities to underpin new interdisciplinary research, ensuring the development of a vibrant community for all involved with the Institute.
  • Play a key role in ensuring effective operational relationships between the Institute(s) and Colleges, individual departments and Professional Services.
  • Develop effective communications to raise the international profile of the Institute(s) and build relationships with key external partners.
  • Support the Director and Institute Manager in establishing appropriate governance and management structures for the Institute.
