    The Advancement unit has an exciting opportunity for a part-time Philanthropy Officer to join our dynamic team that guides, coordinates, and manages a range of philanthropic initiatives. From major and principal gifts, bequests, creative stewardship and annual/regular giving, we are focused on strengthening our donors engagement by actively engaging our alumni, industry partners and the broader community through innovative communication strategies, partnerships, and engagement programs.

    You will take charge of a portfolio of donors and identify potential donors who can make a transformative impact, and in particular, those seeking to contribute to First Nations Peoples programs and initiatives. You will work to secure, steward, and grow philanthropic support from donors and partners to support the University's research and innovation, teaching and learning, and engagement strategies and goals. If you have an understanding and/or experience in fundraising and philanthropic support programs, join our shared mission of creating a culture that makes a lasting impact on our University community.

    Position Requirements
  • A passion for building strong relationships and partnership, and an understanding of principles in current best practice fundraising;
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills with ability to articulate compelling cases for philanthropic support programs;
  • Ability to contribute to the delivery of relationship and loyalty programs.
