  • About the Role

    Join the dynamic Implementation Science team at the School of Health Sciences, led by A/Prof Stephanie Best together with a growing team of researchers. As a research assistant, you will contribute to various implementation research projects across clinical fields such as genetics, pain management, and diabetes, utilising complex intervention methods to improve healthcare quality and efficiency. Located primarily in Parkville, this role involves collaboration with healthcare practitioners and organizations, offering a unique opportunity to work in a cross-disciplinary environment and enhance your professional growth.

    Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop or build upon an understanding of the key areas of implementation science and health services research.
  • Collate and analyse quantitative and qualitative data for exploratory and explanatory studies and for the development and evaluation of implementation interventions
  • Participate in the preparation of manuscripts, ethics applications and funding applications
  • Who We Are Looking For

    You will possess sound analytical skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly both orally and in writing, demonstrate high-level organisational skills to manage priorities and deadlines independently, and have a proven ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships across various levels of clinical and research professionals.

    You will also have:

  • Bachelor degree in health-related discipline such as behavioural science, psychology
  • Research knowledge in either implementation science, evaluation, applied health sciences, public health, psychosocial, health services research
  • An emerging record of publications, conference papers and/or reports, or professional or technical contributions which provide evidence of strong research potential

    This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
