Exeter Innovation

Clean Energy Engineering and Decarbonisation, Infrastructure and Built Environment, and Engineering Materials and Manufacturing.

The above 1.0 FTE post is immediately available on a permanent basis. The postholder will be a member of Exeter Innovation's Sector Team based in Exeter.

Summary of the role

Exeter Innovation aims to bring a new focus to partnerships and collaborative working with external, non-university partners in the Southwest region, nationally and internationally and to drive place-based innovation. Its key aim is to secure significantly greater income and impact and significantly better outputs and outcomes from relationships with partners drawing on the University's education, research and physical assets.

We are seeking a highly skilled IPDM Knowledge Exchange Manager to support the Data, Engineering and Physical Sciences sector teams helping to develop key sub-themes of Clean Energy Engineering and Decarbonisation, Infrastructure and Built Environment, and Engineering Materials and Manufacturing. This post is key to building collaborations that support research, development and innovation activities with commercial companies and stakeholders, and to work with funders and funding agencies. Work will include direct business support, market analysis, exploring funding opportunities, project development, client relationship management and support for academic teams in the preparation of research and other proposals.

Exeter will appeal if you wish to work in beautiful surroundings with plenty of opportunities for sporting and outdoor activities. The campus is a few minutes' walk from Exeter city centre with its entertainment venues, shops and galleries.
