2 - Position Description

As a developer you will end up in the vibrant heart of the ICT Directorate. You will work in a team of twenty talented IT professionals and report directly to Ragnhild Van Der Straeten, the head of department. Together with analysts, developers, testers, product managers and system administrators, you will work on challenging projects for a domain of the university.

As a member of the cross-functional team, you are the passionate developer we are looking for.

You already have experience with low-code solutions or are an experienced developer in a general-purpose language and wish to focus on low-code development.

Your tasks are extensive and varied. For example, you can design and develop software applications using Microsoft PowerApps and Power Automate. You will also be responsible for designing and developing automated workflows and business processes.

In addition, you draw up technical specifications and documentation, test software applications and solve technical problems.

Furthermore, you provide support and support to customers and offer solutions to any problems. In addition, you contribute to the development of best practices, standards and methodologies.

You will work from the Brussels Main Campus in Ixelles. Of course there is also room for working from home (2-3 days a week). In short, a challenging position in a dynamic environment!

3 - Profile
  • You have a bachelor's or master's degree or you have gained equivalent experience.
  • Preferably you already have some experience with low-code platforms, but if you have a solid background in programming, you can certainly also learn to work with these tools.
  • You have strong engineering skills and a good programming background.
  • You have general knowledge of how web applications work and a good understanding of databases, such as Oracle DB, SQL Server and MySQL.
  • You speak and write fluently in English and if you speak Dutch, that is a plus for English-speaking candidates.
  • You can easily adapt your message to different target groups.
  • You work on a project basis and in a structured way and have an eye for detail.
  • You are proactive, like to take initiative and are stress resistant.

    Then we offer you a contract of contract indefinite duration with a gross monthly salary linked to grade 6 (min. € 3,293, max. € 4,760), grade 7 (min. € 3,408, max. 5,256) or exceptional grade 8 (min.3.865, max. 5.868), depending on your level of degree, competences and previous relevant work experience.
