How will you contribute?
As a Data and Software Engineer in our AI and Data Analytics (AIDA)
Platform, you will play a relevant role in advancing our research and
innovation projects with software development on data science and analytics.
You will be at the heart of data-driven initiatives, contributing to the
development of cutting-edge technologies and solutions.
You will contribute to RDI projects through the design, development and
improvement of equipment, processes, methods, protocols, technological
solutions and/or products. You'll carry out various analyses and experiments
in the framework of RDI projects and/or service-delivery activities and
ensures the follow-up of equipment. Particular focus will be given in this
position to data-driven activities, including data processing, data
augmentation, data analytics, predictive modelling and visualization,
dashboarding and frontend development.
You will also be involved in knowledge transfer activities like internal and
external trainings, and technology demonstrations.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
Testing and Experimentation : Support RDI projects by testing and
experimenting with data and AI technologies.
Data Pipelines and Analysis : Create and manage data pipelines,
perform data analysis, and develop dashboards.
Prototype Development : Build prototypes and demonstrators, including
data visualization and storytelling.
Data Science Tasks : Engage in comprehensive data science work,
including data collection, preparation, predictive modelling, and
deployment.
Model and Asset Integration : Integrate models and assets produced
into various software stacks within the AIDA platform.
Support for DTIC : Assist the Digital Twin Innovation Center (DTIC)
manager in defining and scoping digital twin-related projects and
demonstrators.
Collaboration : Work closely with a diverse team of full-stack
developers, research data managers, system administrators and fellow data
scientists at the AIDA-Lab Pole and DTIC Pole, within the AIDA platform,
in a collaborative environment.
Frontend Development and Integration : Work on frontend development
and ensure seamless integration of produced assets into larger
demonstrators.
Dissemination, valorisation, and technology transfer : Participate in
the drafting of reports, scientific articles or other documents.
Support to partnerships : Contribute to the development of
partnerships and networks at a national and international level in their
field of expertise.
Training and supervision : Keep abreast of his/her data engineering
field and the related technology developments, in particular AI and ML.
Attend conferences, continuous trainings, readings. Train on new
techniques, including cloud-related services linked to AI but also open-
source platforms, frameworks and technologies that could be reused.
Participate to the training of undergraduate students and interns.

Education
Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a
related field.
Experience and skills
Proven experience in data analysis, predictive modelling, and data
visualization.
High proficiency in programming languages used in data science (e.g.,
Python, R) as well as front-end related frameworks (React, HTML,
JavaScript, CSS).
Experience with data pipeline tools and ETL, both on cloud or open-source
solutions.
Excellent collaborative and communication skills.
Ability to work in a dynamic, project-driven environment.
Good level of both written and spoken English
