HR Transformation Programme Change Manager (Fixed Term)

The HR Transformation Programme is a new, ambitious and exciting initiative which aims to transform our HR capabilities and ways of working, leading to an improved employee experience. Improving, harmonising and simplifying HR administrative processes is a key part of this programme, together with the replacement of our current outdated HR and payroll system.

This post is an exciting opportunity to join the HR Transformation programme, working to transform systems and services used by the University's c.13,000 staff.

As a Change Manager, you will:

  • Assess the change impact and complete change management assessments for the programme and support delivery of the change management strategy.
  • Deliver change management plans, covering communication, support for line managers, training and resistance management.
  • Support a group of diverse stakeholders (including senior stakeholders) through a significant change, advising on appropriate change management and engagement methods/tools to manage resistance and to deliver and embed the changes and new capabilities introduced by the programme.
  • Define and measure change impact metrics and monitor change progress, along with tracking and reporting issues.
  • Assist the team in the resolution of programme challenges, preventing them realising as issues, work with the Senior Change Management Specialist and Programme Manager to ensure clear ownership and tracking of any such challenges.
  • Are you the right candidate? Do you have:

  • Proven change management experience and expertise
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles and methodologies, (e.g. Change Impact Assessments, Change Readiness activities, and Change Management coaching).
  • Experience of large-scale cross organisational change initiatives.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and interpersonal skills. Comfortable dealing with challenge and conflict using influencing and empathy skills to resolve conflicts.

    Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 18 months in the first instance.
