  • About ARU:

ARU is a global university transforming lives through innovative, inclusive and entrepreneurial education and research. ARU holds a Gold award for the quality of its education, awarded through the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF).

ARU's research institutes and four faculties bridge scientific, technical and creative fields. We deliver impactful research which tackles pressing issues and makes a real difference to our communities. Our academic excellence has been recognised by the UK's Higher Education funding bodies, with 16 of our research areas assessed as world leading. We are the largest provider of Nursing, Midwifery, Health and Social Care students in the East of England, and we are also among the UK's leading universities for degree apprenticeship provision, working with hundreds of employers across the UK.

    About the role:

As part of the HR Partnering Team, you will be the first point of contact for our customers providing advice to candidates, employees and managers on recruitment and selection procedures, and standard terms and conditions of employment. You will manage a wide range of employee lifecycle administrative processes, including advertising vacancies, processing contractual changes, family related leave, and issuing contracts of employment. You'll liaise extensively with our in-house Payroll and Pensions team and HR Systems team and provide excellent customer service for our stakeholders.

This is an extremely busy and fast-paced role, therefore excellent problem- solving and organisational skills, attention to details and the ability to prioritise workload are crucial together with a proactive approach and the ability to build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders, as well as the ability to take ownership of queries and processes, and a focus on customer service. With two A levels or a Vocational qualification at NVQ level 3 or equivalent, you will have experience using HR systems/databases/e-recruitment and dealing with high volumes of queries, producing letters and updating spreadsheets.

    Two vacancies available:

1x Full time (37 hours) Permanent

1x Part time (14 hours) 12-months Fixed Term Maternity Cover
