Estates Services HR is at the forefront of providing exceptional support to our line managers and staff members. As the need for comprehensive HR services continues to grow, we're expanding our team and seeking a dedicated HR Advisor to help us deliver proactive and supportive solutions.

The Role:

As an HR Advisor, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our service delivery, providing guidance to line managers and staff on a wide range of HR matters. From managing change and individual employee cases to overseeing recruitment processes and implementing new policies, your expertise will drive our department's success.

Some Key Responsibilities:

• Provide confident advice to line managers and staff, tailoring communication to the audience's needs.

• Assist managers in handling employee cases and managing change effectively.

• Advise on staffing requirements and oversee the recruitment process.

• Plan, update, and implement HR policies to support departmental needs.

• Communicate policy changes and updates to staff, ensuring compliance with University regulations.

• Prepare employment documentation and maintain accurate records.

• Manage key HR processes, including fixed-term contract management.

• Monitor absence and leave records, ensuring compliance with policies.

• Maintain oversight of payroll changes and ensure adherence to procedures.

Selection Criteria: Essential

• Experience in HR roles, with a focus on managing processes

• CIPD qualification or equivalent experience.

• Proficiency in HR information systems and report generation

• Strong communication and numerical skills

• Ability to build effective relationships and deliver exceptional customer service

• Willingness to engage in professional development

• Experience in employee case management

Selection Criteria: Desirable

• Previous HR experience in Oxford University or other higher education institutions

• Level 5 CIPD qualification
